Consider the Future

Students should start to think about what they would like to do when they graduate high school. Students start to choose electives in 8th grade and if you know what you might want to do after high school it will help you pick classes that will help you to be successful and engaged in your learning. Parents should talk with their children about their vision for them and listen to their children's goals. Be sure to share this information at your child's IEP meeting so that way the IEP team can support with resources related to the goals.
