About the event

Vocational Rehabilitation is a state-funded organization that serves people with disabilities with the goal of finding meaningful employment or training. Vocational Rehabilitation provides services even after the student graduates from high school and can provide supports like transportation stipends or financial aid if a student meets income guidelines. Every school should have a Vocational Rehabilitation counselor assigned to them. Students should open a case with V.R. first semester of the junior year, particularly if they are a student with a higher-incidence disability like learning disability, other health impaired, emotional disturbance, etc as there is an order of selection and a wait list. If students open up their cases first semester, they will be likely to be eligible for the Summer Work Experience.
